2024 WiB Showcase (click for details)
The 2024 WiB Showcase Lineup has been chosen. This years featured artists and MC is Gina Coleman with her band Misty Blues. Also chosen (in no particular order), Alex Richman, Gayle Harrod, The Bustle with Sami Chong, Jennifer Swistun & Jenny McPhail. Also Kiersi Joli, Sunny Bleau, Dawn Lepere with LaFever, Sayed Sabrina, PK Hannah, Mandalyn And The Hunters, Niecie and Chantell McFarland with the Diego Mongue Band.
This 12th edition of the WiB Showcase takes place at Alfred’s on Beale and BB King Blvd, January 18th from 11:30am - 4:00pm and is FREE to the public, donations suggested. This event is a fundraiser for the Blues Foundation General Fund. Our mission is to level the field for female blues artists and musicians and we are excited to be showcasing female blues artists in Memphis!
We are excited to announce this years showcase MC and opening performer, the dynamic Gina Coleman, who with her band Misty Blues have recorded 14 albums with tracks featuring artists like Charles Neville, Eric Gales, Joe Louis Walker, Justin Johnson, and Kat Riggins and been awarded 2021 CFAB Music Realm Entertainer of the Year.
Our showcase also includes performing artists, Alex Richmond, The Bustle - Sami Chong, Jennifer Swistun, Jenny McPhail, Chantell w/Diego Mongue Band, Dawn Lepere - LeFever, Mandalyn And The Hunters, Kiersi Joli, PK Hanna, Sunny Bleau, The Gayle Harrod Band, Niecie, Sayed Sabrina.
The entire National Women in Blues Board, Endless Blues Records and all the WiB volunteers and sponsors are excited for this years line up. Everyone’s talking about all the new faces performing and a few very familiar ones with talent across the board. It is exciting to be part of the International Blues Challenge week of events. We are honored the Blues Foundation is so supportive of the women in this music world we love, called the Blues! Our event is free, but all donations go to support The Blues Foundation!
